This segment explores the nocturnal habitat from an ecological perspective, understanding the vital role of the night in sustaining wildlife and ecosystems. Explore the significance of natural darkness and the impact of light pollution on both wildlife and human well-being. This module sheds light on the impacts of light pollution on specific wildlife species in Kenya as well as on general ecosystem dynamics, and how preserving the integrity of the night sky contributes to the overall health of ecosystems.
3. Kenyan cultural heritage
This part of the training explores the rich tapestry of Kenyan cultural perspectives of the night sky. Delve into stories and beliefs about the cosmos from various tribes by learning about Kenyan cultural astronomy, ethnoastronomy, and tribal night sky stories to deepen your understanding of diverse the diverse cultural beliefs surrounding the night sky.
