With a lifelong passion for the night sky, I have dedicated myself to the intersection of astrotourism and dark sky conservation since 2019. My journey began with a guide-training pilot project in Maasai Mara, Kenya, and has since expanded to leading guided night sky tours in Slovenia and developing resources for rural astrotourism globally. My expertise encompasses both theoretical and practical astronomy, complemented by a sensitivity to rural economic contexts, and an evolving understanding of nocturnal ecosystems and the impact of light pollution.
My experience is enriched by advocacy work with DarkSky International and DarkSky Kenya, where I focus on preserving the night sky and mitigating light pollution. This background informs my approach to astrotourism, blending scientific knowledge with a deep appreciation for the natural world, and its conservation. Through creating immersive experiences, I hope to use the night sky to inspire personal reflection and collective sustainable growth.
